The First Step to Volunteering – Take A Tour
Come join us! A tour and volunteer orientation is held the first and third Saturday of every month at 9:00 AM at the Brother Benno Center, 3260 Production Avenue in Oceanside. (Please park on the street and check in at the main entrance (the front door on the right). No reservation is required.
If you have a special skill or talent that you don’t see covered below, please let us know on your application, and we will see how we might be able to bring you into the Brother Benno family. Whatever you’d like to do at Brother Benno’s, your involvement can be as simple or extensive as you care to make it.
Please note that our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6:30 AM - 11:00 AM. Our age requirement is 18 and over. All volunteer positions require a volunteer registration form, and some positions require a background check. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept court-ordered community service.
For questions or additional information, contact our Manager of Volunteer Programs via email: volunteers@brotherbenno.org or you can leave a message at (760) 231-1613.
Thank you for your interest. We look forward to meeting you!

Volunteering as a Group?
If you are interested in opportunities to volunteer as a group, please contact volunteers@brotherbenno.org or call us at (760) 231-1613. Depending upon your size and our needs, we will try to accommodate your group. When possible, please try to provide two weeks advanced notice for any large group event
If your group is interested in volunteering as a serving team, we have more information for you here.
Holiday Events and Volunteering
During the holidays, many people contact Brother Benno’s to serve food for the holidays. We have a volunteer holiday serving team coordinator for Thanksgiving and Christmas who manages those two special days at the Center. While many people return year after year to help serve, there are some limited volunteer opportunities available. Please contact brotherbennosholidays@gmail.com for more information.
We also host an annual Children’s Christmas Party. If you are interested in volunteering for that event, please contact Helen Parsons at volunteers@brotherbenno.org.
